Up next we drop by Xikar to talk to Kurt and Suzanne about new cigar accessories. They show us their new single, flat-flame lighter in a variety of finishes, which retails for $80. Antique bronze is a good look, and it’s a fast mover for Xikar. We also check out a lighter with red prism fuel windows that creates a “blade of flame” with three torches that angle to a point. And then there’s Kurt’s favorite, the $69 scratch-resistant Turismo lighter with the matte finish. There are new finishes for the popular XO Cutter (the polished aluminum look is pretty sweet), and we discuss some possible future finish ideas.
But probably the most interesting new accessory for us was the new Xikar XFlame, and battery powered electronic lighter based on vape technology that kind of resembles an old school car cigarette lighter. You have to see it in action. Look for that in August some time, and you can expect to pay around $79 for it.
Xikar has also dropped the price of their high performance butane, and is making it available in a smaller sized can.
