Normally we don’t publish news here on Stogie Review. Our friend Charlie over at The Cigar Feed does a better job than we could ever do but with my huge ego, this was too cool not to post. Over a week ago Charlie posted some Viaje news on his site and he mentioned Stogie Review and our interview at IPCPR we did with Andre Farkas of Viaje Cigars. In the video we were joking around with Andre about all of the Viaje seasonal releases and I made a comment about how he was just missing a Thanksgiving themed release. That was July. Fast forward to today and I get an e-mail from Andre as well as a mention on his Facebook page confirming Charlie’s post and our inspiration for the Viaje WLP Stuffed Turkey:
I don’t have an exact release date or a list of retailers but I’m sure it will be on shelves in time for Thanksgiving.
Infused with gravy flavor?
Gravy? Come on Charlie…you know there is only sweet, salty, sour and meaty in the flavor wheel.
Lol, nice. I love Jon, but that was a biologically ignorant statement of his–not to mention common sense.
Congrats on getting a Viaje release named after your idea. lol! If you ever turn evil, maybe Pete will name a Monster after you!
My local B&M Is a retailer for Viaje and usually gets all their limited and special releases, I’ll keep an eye out for sure- thanks for the heads up!
I’m peeling potatoes and preparing stuffing now. Maybe a green bean casserole…..
mmmm…what time is dinner? Can I bring my gluetn free Thanksgiving meal from Wholefoods with me?
Leave the Crocs at home.
Excellent!!! I’ll try it! Have to hit Tower Cigars this weekend and see if they have it.
So Andre is saying you remind him of a stuffed turkey, Jerry?
Sounds like it could be a good stick, but I’m saving my money for Tin of Salty Processed Meat.
Just picked up four of those!! Think I’ll try one tomorrow
About a half inch into this turkey and I am really enjoying this cigar. Vastly different from the other Viajes I’ve smoked. Some sort of Maduro wrapper that a more adept smoker could figure out but essentially it’s similar to a 601 Blue IMHO
Was wondering if your gonna do a review of this cigar, I mean it’s only right that you do it, lol
