Every year, I save certain special cigars to smoke on my birthday, wedding anniversary and Christmas. Well today is my birthday so I gathered up some cigars that I have been waiting to smoke all year due to price, rarity, etc. Without further ado, here is my line up to smoke today, in no particular order:
Probably the best Tatuaje blend I’ve ever smoked. Glad its living on in other sizes, but nothing beats the original torpedo.
The Royal Robusto is only available in Davidoff stores and are highly prized. Great complexity,
amazing construction and superb flavors.
The Gstaad is only for the Davidoff stores in Switzerland….except for the Madison Ave. Davidoff store in NYC. Mild strength, but amazing sweet creamy, complex flavor profile. Maybe my favorite Davidoff cigar.
The Crown Heads Four Kicks Mule Kick
My 2012 Cigar of the Year. Enough said.
This is the original blend from Illusione from 2010. Such a great smoke. My favorite Illusione.
Casa Fuente Double Corona
This cigar was given to me by my local shop owner, Paul Bertucci of The Cigar Shop in Biloxi, MS, from Casa Fuente in Las Vegas. Only available at Casa Fuente, its more rare than Opus X, but worth hunt. Nice subtle spice flavors and ages EXTREMELY well.
Opus X “Power Ranger”
I don’t have much access to Opus X, but I have several of this little belicosos from about 5 years ago. Called the Power Ranger because of their increased strength, its one of my favorite Opus vitolas.
EP Carrillo Edition Limitada “Dark Ritual”
One of the best cigars I’ve ever smoked. I REALLY wish EPC would somehow make this a regular production cigar. Amazing flavors that always make you wish you had several boxes of these stashed away.
Padron 1926 80th Anniversary
The best Padron cigar ever made. Great cocoa and espresso notes. Worth every penny.
Drew Estate Big Black Rat
Another rarity from Drew Estates. Basically this is a Dirty Rat except larger with a wrapper from a lower priming.
I’ve loved the CyB blend since its release, but none of the other vitolas, and I mean NONE, come close to this TAA exclusive size. The flavors really pop in the lancero.
Partagas Edicion Limitada 2001 Serie D No. 3
I haven’t had this for a very long time. Gifted to me by a good friend I figured now was as good a time as any to enjoy it. 12 years old. Its lived a good life.
