IPCPR 2016: El Primer Mundo

No IPCPR is complete without a visit to the El Primer Mundo booth to talk to Sean Williams. This year is a special year for Sean, El Primer Mundo is celebrating its tenth anniversary. You know what that means- it’s time for a tenth anniversary cigar. And that’s exactly what Sean brought to the show. What makes this even more fun for us at Stogie Review is that it is also our tenth anniversary, meaning we’ve been there keeping tabs on El Primer Mundo from the beginning. Going all the way back to the days were neither of us had any gray hair.

Sean tells us that the EPM 10YR is a mix of old and new, featuring the wrapper leaf used in the Black Label line (or as I still refer to it, the Rosado Oscuro) in the old category, and tobaccos like a San Vicente binder and Corojo 2006 in the new category. Also new is the logo on the box. Instead of the vintage map band Primer Mundo fans will remember from the Epifania and the Liga Miami, it has a cleaner look- a crown, a star and the name of the company. The band is different as well, but a little more ornate. But for the full scoop, check out the video below.
