Wanted to share a couple short videos to give you a higher rez image of some of the cigars I Twittered about:
I don’t know much about the Esencia cigar by Brother of the Leaf and Mark Aub (Palio Cutters). I know pre-IPCPR the guys at Dogwatch Cigar Radio were giving it high praise. The only thing I know for sure is that the Esencia will only be sold thru authorized Palio Cutter dealers.
Check out this thread over on Club Stogie for more info and a few reviews of the Esencia
Another booth that was just too crazy to visit on the first day and understandably so. A lot of hype pre-IPCPR about the CAO LX2. I’m sure I don’t need to go into any further details since CAO released their own promotion video but my video shows the cigar in the wild along with the LX2 humidor. Overhead some mixed reviews of it from some of the people lucky enough to get a sample of it.
Very Cool, Jerry. Thanks!
Great packaging. Hope the contents match!
Nice footage Jerry! I think the guys on DWCR said that the Esencia is technically made by Brothers of the Leaf with Mark Aub being part of that crew.
doc – yeah I didn’t get a sample of it so hopefully the others guys did. I think the Bob & Dale from DWCR were split on it but I’m not sure.
Vic – Thanks for the info. I made the change to correct it.
I’m smoking my 2nd LX2 courtesty of CAO and rep Jeff Tinnell. I must say I like it as it is so aromatic yet is clean on the palate. It has a sweet woody flavor with a bit of spice and finishes like I said clean. I’d say it’s an addition that makes sense as it certainly isn’t a “me too” cigar, but is unique in the CAO arsenal of flavors. It’s medium with a nice round smoothness that should be quite appealing to seasoned smokers while not turning away newcomers. CAO keeps getting better and better is all I have to say.
Correction on my name…I don’t know where the Go before Werner came from??? Must have been that last dirty martini?
