Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 (Maduro)

I’d like to extend my personal gratitude to Abe “Ming” Dababneh from Smoke Inn Cigars in Florida for sending me the newest installation from his 15th Anniversary Collection. If you remember correctly the first installation was the Tatuaje Anarchy. Abe is a huge supporter of us non-traditional media folks and its awesome that he values our opinions enough to send us samples. Thanks Abe. The Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 (Maduro) is the same blend as the usual PAM64 but in a unique size. Historically I’ve not been a fan of the 6×60 size. I mean, I get that they sell very well and that many consumers see the value in them but for me, I’m always left feeling awkwardly puzzelled and lost.

Video Note: Gracie makes a special appearance…everyone say “awe”.

If the Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 (Natural) hit a homerun then this Maduro version hits a grand slam! Talk about a flavor bomb! A few hours have past since I recorded the review and I swear I can still taste those cocoa flavors. The Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 (Maduro) is lights out an amazing cigar. Again, the flavors came through loud and clear even in the airy 6×60 size. The cocoa flavors were explosive and were complimented by a unique variety of woodsy and nutty flavors. The rustic looking wrapper won’t any beauty awards but man, that flavor profile is killer sharp. While I encourage you to try both the Natural and Maduro, if I have to pick one…Maduro all the way.

Ordering Information:
The Padron 1964 Anniversary SI-15 (Natural/Maduro) will available starting April 15, 2011. They will be sold as singles, five packs and boxes. According to Abe this will be even more limited than the Tatuaje Anarchy. To order contact Smoke Inn Cigars directly at 1-888-SMOKES-1 and do us a favor, let them know that you saw a review of them here at The Stogie Review.

  1. Man, Thank God Gracie gets her looks from her Mother! Adorable brother.

  2. Great review Jerry and Gracie is a sweetheart!
I love my 64 maduros and the flavor profiles you’re describing are everything I love in a cigar. Gotta see if I can get my hands on at least one of those bad boys. As far as the 60 ring goes, it’s just more Padron goodness in my book!
    Thanks for the review,
    Rick

  3. Jerry,
Looks like Gracie is already pointing at the camera …. Long F’in Ashes. Priceless ! As always, excellent and entertaining review. Keep up the good work !

  4. Jerry,
    Gracie has gotten so big!

I’m also not much of a 60 ring fan. You are right, it tends to water down the blend, so to speak. I love the 1964 Maduro and it sounds like the 60 just works with this blend.

    Well done

  5. After your review I called SI ordered a box of the maduros and they were pleased with the attribution. You might be getting more cigars. Your comments were right on the money. The cigar is great.
