As the hour grew late, I was under a bit of pressure to come up with a review for today. Having put things off until the last minute, I was feverishly trying to find something in my humidor that I could review in short order. After poking around, picking cigars up, putting them back, then picking them up again, I finally decided on the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 in a Short Ashes format.
As with all of my other Short Ashes reviews, the idea is to take a second look at a cigar that we have reviewed in the past. The video runs a little longer than I would like and comes in at roughly fifteen minutes. Once you are finished with the video, head down to the comments section and tell us about your experience with the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970.
I always felt that the 60 ring Antaño starts off like a decent cigar and usually gets at its best in its last third. And I’ve had experiences where it doesn’t produce much smoke as well.
Nice Review Walt, I have also moved away from the big rings. Sounded like a solid smoke.
This smoke is a personal favorite of mine. It pairs perfectly with Elija Craig
Almost anything pairs nicely w/ Elijah Craig : )
