Drew Estate Unicos A
This was a real treat for me. It was my birthday earlier last week and a good friend of mine gave me this cigar to celebrate my birthday. He won these from Drew Estate from a contest they were running at the Chattanooga Tweetup a few years ago and saved them for a special occasion. A few years made this cigar a lot more mellow than I thought it would be. It was a very smooth smoking cigar with flavors of leather, coffee, pepper and rich woody notes. A very special cigar.
Viaje Cache
This is a new release from Viaje that came out the the 2014 Satoris and the Casa Fernandez x Viaje Collaboration cigar. It was a rich cigar, but it did have a harshness. I do think these have potential, but they definitely need some down time before smoking.
Eiroa CBT Toro
These are spectacular. I’m not a big fan of maduros, but these are terrific. Box worthy. This was the toro size, but I do much prefer the Prensado size. It much richer, but you can’t go wrong with any of the CBT sizes.
Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Toro
Another winner from Casa Fernandez. The Agnorasa Leaf line has always been an easy smoke for me. They are medium bodied with flavors of oak, nuts, graham cracker, caramel and a hint of spice. I truly love these.
Elogio Exclusivo Crescent City Cigar Edition
This is the second edition of the Elogio Exclusivo CCC release and I actually prefer this version more. The first edition was very spicy, which I’m not too big a fan of spicy cigar, but the other flavors dull down the spice and made it quite the flavor bomb. This version has a really toned down the spice and has more sweetness and a richer flavor profile. Watch for a more detailed review coming up soon.
