A couple of weeks ago I attended the VIP Opening Reception of Davidoff of Geneva Atlanta. The new flagship store had actually opened a few months prior (August 24th), but time has flown by this year, and I wasn’t able to check the place out until the reception.  That’s probably for the best, it gave the establishment the opportunity to smooth out any kinks involved with opening up a high-end retail store and offer the best possible first impression.

The event was well attended, which made it a little tough to get around at times, but it also highlighted the efficiency of the smoke handlers in the surprisingly large, comfortable lounge in the back. The retail space was bright and immaculate, it was as though the shop hadn’t already seen two months of use.

In this quick video, I show you around the new flagship store and the event, starting with the humidor at the front of the shop and ending with Camus cognac samples in the cigar-friendly conference room in the back. And if you look closely, you just might see Michael Cudlitz (of Southland and The Walking Dead fame) hanging out in the main smoking lounge.
