La Flor Dominicana La Nox

One of the cigars I’ve been smoking a little more of lately is the La Flor Dominicana La Nox. It was featured in a lot of 2015 top ten lists, so I thought I’d get to know it better. For one reason or another, it was a cigar that really wasn’t on my radar in 2015. There are a lot of great sticks out there, sometimes a good one will fall through the cracks.

Even before lighting it up, I already kinda liked the La Nox. It’s great looking cigar with a sharp band design and an attractive dark wrapper with mostly finer veins. And as a night owl, I find the whole nighttime theme appealing. (La Nox translates to “the night.”) But as anyone can tell you, looking good doesn’t automatically mean a cigar will smoke well. It’s time to put the La Nox to the test. Did it deserve a spot on my top ten list? Only time and fire will tell.

Cigar Stats:
Size: 6 1/2 x 50
Wrapper: Brazilian Maduro
Binder: Mexican San Andrés
Filler: Dominican Republic (La Canela Farms – inc. Piloto, Pelo de Oro)
Smoking Time: 2 hours
Source: Purchased by reviewer

  1. Always glad to see you have another review up. Never cared for LFD cigars, just too strong for my tastes but this one sounds like it could work for me. What do you think of the price tag compared to the other cigars in this range? Just curious in recent reviews it appears you are keeping your voice down to not disturb anyone. I understand if that is the case just sounds different and a little odd hearing it.
