La Palina is in it for the long haul, that much was clear to me after I visited their booth at this year’s trade show. Despite the looming FDA menace, Bill Paley seemed optimistic, even excited about the future for La Palina. It probably has something to do with six months of planning around the coming regulatory storm. When I left the booth, I was convinced that if the sky fell tomorrow (or August 8th, as the case may be), Mr. Paley would be there the day after with cigars and a smile for the survivors.
In this video, Bill Paley shows us the Goldie-esque Illumination made by El Titan de Bronze, the box-pressed (their first) La Palina El Año 1896, the Nicaragua Connecticut (another first) and Nicaragua Oscuro. With these offerings, Mr. Paley also showcased the new “LP” branding.
