Crowned Heads really did well this year in terms of booth placement. They were very close to the main entrance, just a little off to one side. It was convenient for us, as we inevitably walked past them at least twice a day. Which means I probably said “we gotta go talk to Jon” half a dozen times before we caught up with him on day three.
After a little small talk about beards and child-induced sleep deprivation, Jon Huber shows us the two new brands they brought to the show: Las Mareas, which is made by My Father Cigars and Le Carême, made at Tabacalera La Alianza under the watchful eye of Ernest Perez-Carrillo. Crowned Heads also added two samplers to their portfolio, La Cosa Nica Seleccion which features Las Mareas and other cigars produced for them by My Father Cigars and a Le Carême sampler.
Before we said our thank yous and adioses, Jon assured us he’s done everything he can in the face of looming FDA regulations to ensure Crowned Heads will be at IPCPR for years to come.
