IPCPR 2018: Foundation Cigars

As per usual, the Foundation booth was constantly full of people, and full of a mixture of art and cigars. We grabbed a few minutes of Nick Melillo’s time to talk about the very limited Wise Man Maduro Lancero and the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT which features Cuban Seed Havana #142 tobacco. That tobacco is high yield, very oily, resistant to disease, but also difficult to properly ferment. It’s a much different tobacco than your typical Connecticut Broadleaf.

We also learn that you get great yields with erect tobacco. And in keeping with tradition, we cover the latest Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) news. Nick tells us we can expect to see a CME cigar sometime in 2019. He has a stronger blend already in mind for the project. It’s something we’ve been looking forward to for years now, and we can hardly wait.
