Last week, we reviewed one of two limited editions released by Nat Sherman this year at IPCPR, Epoca Limited Edition 2019. This week, we take a look at the Timeless Limited Edition 2019. The Timeless Limited Edition uses select Dominican tobaccos and is made in the Quesada SA cigar factory. The cigar was released to select retailers in September in 5 count boxes with an MSRP of $85.00. The Timeless Limited Edition was available in only one size: 6 x 50.
- Vitola: Toro
- Size: 6 x 50
- Wrapper: Dominican Shade Grown Colorado Oscuro
- Binder: Dominican
- Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan
- MSRP: $17.00 per cigar/$85.00 for a 5 count box
Appearance
The Timeless Limited Edition has a really nice mocha brown wrapper that looks silky smooth. Again, like on the Epoca Limited Edition, the bands look really classy with bronze and navy colors that look really sharp. The draw is perfect with notes of leather, cedar and nuts.
First Half
The Timeless Limited Edition 2019 is smoking exceptionally well. I get notes of leather, cedar, almonds, cinnamon and toasted bread. I get more of the cinnamon and a bit of white pepper on the retrohale. The cigar is medium bodied with full flavor.
Last Half
On the last half, the Timeless Limited Edition 2019 gets much smoother with notes of leather, cinnamon, almonds, like in the first half, but now has developed a sweet caramel sweetness. The spices have been toned down quite a bit. The retrohale is mostly just faint cinnamon and almond notes. This cigar is a little more full bodied, somewhere in the medium plus range now, but still with full flavor.
Overall Impressions
I really love this cigar. Nat Sherman has some cigar mojo lately because all the limited editions this year, including the TAA, have been home runs. I do prefer this one over the Epoca because its more my style. To me, the Timeless Limited Edition is a bit smoother, mellower and its medium body, which I prefer. The flavors are very tasty from beginning to end. All the shops I visit have been selling out of all these Limited Editions so if you run across them, snatch them up. I know $17 is a pretty stout price to pay for a cigar, but I really do think it’s worth it. The Timeless Limited Edition 2019 is a fantastic cigar and I’m excited to see what’s next from Nat Sherman.
Sounds like a great smoke! I liked the original Timeless and will have to try this one if I can find them. Bit steep on price but for a special occasion, why not 🙂
$29.99 for a box of 5 at Holt’s. Strange that a limited edition is still available after two years and at a 65% discount.
