Time was really tight this week, so instead of a video review, I decided to do a little Stogie Review update instead. In the video below I talk a little bit about some time off I’ll be taking when the baby arrives. In addition I also talk a little bit about what we have coming up on Stogie Review. Those things include Mike doing Cigar Expo coverage as well as expected IPCPR coverage for the annual trade show in New Orleans.
Along the way I was asked to talk a bit about my office and soon to be completed walk in humidor. While those things aren’t yet completed, I go into a little bit on what has to be done yet as well as what my delays have been (all baby related).
While this is a break from the norm here on Stogie Review, I hope that you find some of this information useful. The video runs about thirteen minutes long and can be viewed below.
I see you guys are tired of having to smoke and explain everyday…. Take the day! U deserve it!!!!!
Walt best of luck with your new baby and you will be missed til you return. Early congrats to you and your wife. see you soon.
I will try and get pics and/or video of the world’s largest cigar ๐
I can’t wait to see the room when it’s done, but knowing babies, we will see you in about 18 years LMAO
Blind reviews – I like them but as you said, if you get too many people involved it just does not work very well. I wish the blind box pass would have reached me as I was looking forward to doing those blind reviews myself ๐
If anyone is at Cigar Expo, just holler at me as you have the advantage of knowing what I look like ๐ If you throw things to get my attention, please make sure they are not tables or chairs.
Mike
Congrats! And hurry back- we like your reviews.
walt a tour of the humidor cool, congrats to you and the wife. hope to see more reviews soon!
Congrats on the baby. I’m sure we all can’t wait to see a picture of the walk in humidor!
Congrats on the new baby Walt. It will change your life. We’re expecting our second and i’ve been so busy between work, the house and the baby that life is flying by and haven’t had a cigar in several months. My new office is located next to a pretty cool cigar store in CT and they even have a guy rolling cigars in the window display. The new site looks awesome by the way and i’ll have to catch up with all the old posts and reviews.
Thanks for the update Walt. Hope all goes well and you return to SR soon!
Nice to see a video on the site thats an update as to the goings-on. Couple things for you Walt in between diaper changes.
1. Congratulations to you and the wife.
2. What cigar were you smoking in the video? I know it wasn’t a review but was curious.
3. What are you using for the wall and shelving in your humidor? I too am building one, although on a smaller scale. It is located under a staircase so is about 4ft wide by 8ft deep but with an angled ceiling which is a bit of a challenge. I ordered Spanish Cedar laminate sheets 2’x4′ to put on the walls and am undecided about the shelving as of yet.
Congrats again and I wish the family well!!!
