Back in August, Jerry, Brian, and I were fortunate enough to cover the annual IPCPR convention. While there we had the opportunity to sample a variety of cigars. Since the trade show, I’ve been telling anyone that would listen how much I enjoyed the EP Carrillo Core Line. I was able to weasel about five of those cigars but only a single sample of the EP Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2010.
Due to my experience with the Core Line, I put the Edicion Limitada on a pedestal and was hesitant to smoke it right away. I decided that I waited long enough and finally set flame to foot. What I found was a cigar that was absolutely astounding in regards to flavor intensity. Body was medium to full with excellent burning characteristics. Even though the EP Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2010 was an impressive cigar, I prefer the more subdued EP Carrillo Core Line.
Great review! I haven’t heard anything these yet. I definitely want to try the Core Line, but this “intense” version sounds really cool. I love intense cigars (Tat T110, LP Dirty Rat, etc), so this is going on my “must try” list. Thanks Walt!

Walt, You have been over work your self of the cigar review and family’s. There is no cigars on earth have too much in the favors. It may be too much in the cigar’s strenght. There is a bad cigar or there is a good cigar. I do enjoyed watch all of your short reviews. keeps it up…

Good stuff Walt. I loved the Edicion Innaugural from last year and haven’t been able to try the Core Line or the EP Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2010 but plan on smoking them both soon. Thanks for the reassurance, on their quality. I like the trend that Ernesto’s cigars are going, great and very memorable. Loving the short reviews.
Are these new cigars by Carillo still using Dominican leaf like the La Gloria line? I have an aversin to Dominican tobacco which is what has kept me from sampling these cigars.
