I run into Bill Paley a lot as he’s a local to the DC/MD/VA area. I remember meeting him for the first time at Bethesda Tobacco (now W.Curtis Draper Bethesda) as he was working on blends and artwork for last year’s release of the Family Series. We didn’t get time to talk to Bill at last year’s IPCPR and with him being a big supporter of our site and many others we made it a priority to talk to Bill this year. I know Bill took some heat initially and folks balked at the $20 price tag for an unknown cigar. I’m glad that the Family Series (my favorite being the 1896) silenced the critics. This year Bill is back with a new, friendlier priced cigar known as El Diario made for him by the folks at Fabrica de Tobacos Raices Cubanas in Honduras (known mostly for Illusione but many other brands are made there).
Production Note: Not sure what happened about halfway into the video but there is a 10 second skip in the action.
