Now that the site is back to normal its time to catchup on content. As you know, master blender Benji Menendez has been in my area this week. On Tuesday he was at W.Curtis Draper-Bethesda. Charlie was cool enough to make the drive down from Wilmington DE and my new friend Lanh joined me for the event. Lanh had e-mailed me back in July introducing himself and wanted to get together. Of course the slacker I am didn’t reply to his e-mail until the evening before the event. Luckily Lanh was able to make it and it turned out that this was Lanh’s first actual cigar event. Anyway, below are some stills from the event. Mostly Benji posing with customers who bought the Draper Exclusive Toro sized version of the Master Series…which is pretty close in awesome factor to the original.
Draper’s own George Brightman held a Q&A with Benji Menendez that I have video of. Talking about Benji’s past, present and future. The Q&A lasted for well over 90 minutes and I actually ran out of storage on my DSLR while recording but I’ll share that footage once I get it processed.
