Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown Robusto

Perdomo introduced the Perdomo 20th Anniversary cigar at this year’s IPCPR in two wrappers:  Cuban seed sun grown and Cuban seed maduro.  The cigar was released in 5 sizes:

  • Robusto (5 by 56)
  • Epicure (6 by 56)
  • Torpedo (6 1/2 by 54)
  • Gordo (6 by 60)
  • Churchill (7 by 56)

The cigar features a 6 year old aged wrapper that was aged for 14 months in bourbon barrels along with high priming tobaccos from the 3 regions of Nicaragua that Perdomo has tobacco farms:  Jalapa, Condega and Esteli.  Ranging from $9.00-$12.00 in price, the cigar was well received at the show and considered one of the best new cigars released this year.  I finally got a few samples after they arrived at my local shop in Biloxi, MS (The Cigar Shop).  I’ve been very impressed with the releases lately from Perdomo, especially the Exhibicion Sun Grown, so was eager to try these.  I wasn’t let down.  The cigar smoked excellent with flavors of leather and oak as its core with flavors of coffee, nuts, spice and honey trading dominate spots throughout the cigar.  I fully enjoyed the cigar, enough to consider it box worthy.  Watch my video review for more.

  1. That’s one yummy looking cigar. I’m a fan of the Perdomo 10th Anniversary line. The other Perdomo lines aren’t bad either. I’ll have to look this one up.

  2. I am a huge fan of the 20th its a great stick and I agree it is box worthy. I do like the maduro a little bit more but either way you can’t go wrong.

  3. Just now getting around to trying this stick. Really
