Quesada Jalapa Robusto

A couple years ago, Quesada released the Seleccion Espana to the Spanish market, but only in the US to a very select few Quesada retailers.  People that were able to get some, like myself, absolutely loved the cigar and bombarded Quesada with request to have a full release here in the US.  This year, Quesada finally was able to appease the masses.  Enter the Quesada Jalapa.  The Quesada Jalapa has the same binder and filler as the Espana, but with a different wrapper.  The Espana uses an Ecuadorian Aripiraca wrapper where the Quesada Jalapa has a Nicaraguan wrapper from, you guessed it, Jalapa.  Released in three sizes with an average MSRP of about $7.50 and in 10 count boxes, this cigar is easily attainable by most cigar smokers.

Model Size Packed
Robusto 4 7/8 x 50 10
Belicoso 6 1/8 x 52 10
Prominente 7 5/8 x 49 10

So how does the Quesada Jalapa stack up to the Seleccion Jalapa?  Watch the review and find out.

  1. Boy, you guys are killing me with all these video reviews. I can’t view them! How I miss the old days at this site!!

      1. The videos won’t play on my HTC android, but to be honest I rarely have the time for a video review anyway. I much prefer the written reviews, or at least some form of written review with the video. I’m very interested in this cigar, and STILL have no idea about what you thought about it!

  2. I was watching the video and halfway through it played the same commercial twice in a row and then started a completely different video.

  3. Nice review! I like the Belicoso a lot, try that of if you haven’t yet. I don’t get any bitterness from it, but I probably smoke slower than you based on how often you puff in the review, lol. Also, the ones I have were resting for a few months, which might help.
