The Camacho Ecuador was released this year as an edition to the Camacho line. This new cigar features an Ecuadorian habano wrapper with a price point of $6.50. I was sent a box of these from Dylan Austin of Camacho for review (Thanks Dylan!). I had smoked several of these at my local shop before receiving the samples from Camacho as well as many from a couple of Camacho events I attend at shops around my area. I have to say I was really impressed. Lets look at the make up of the cigar:
- Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
- Binder: Brazilian Mata Fina
- Filler: Corojo, Criollo ligero and Pelo de Oro
- MSRP: $6.50
I really like the flavors of this cigar. I got notes of cedar, pepper, nuts, earth, bitter chocolate with hints of sweetness. As the cigar neared the end, the cedar and earthiness dominated the cigar. Overall the cigar was on the upper end of medium or the lower end of full. I personally really enjoy this cigar, especially for the price. Check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.
