IPCPR 2016: Toraño

Our first stop in the large, open General Cigars booth was the Toraño display. Jack Toraño, Toraño Brand Ambassador is happy to be back representing the brand, and wanted to talk about the two new Vault lines. Each line comes in two sizes, a Robusto and a 6 x 60. Not only are the lines new, the packaging has been colorfully updated- the Nicaraguan puro comes in a neon green box, and the Mexican San Andres blend comes in an equally bright purple. The idea is that the packaging will grab eyeballs, and the budget-friendly price ($5.50 to $6.50) will gently grab wallets. These cigars originally shipped in May, and should already be available at your local Toraño retailer.

In September the new Toraño Exodus ships. Like the new Vault lines, the Exodus is housed in very colorful packaging that Toraño tells us is a celebration of the exodus of the his family (and many others) from Cuba. It features a Honduran wrapper, a Connecticut binder and fillers from three countries. The price is a little higher than the Vault lines, but not by much. It rings in at $7 to $8.50.
