We caught up with Chris Harper in the spacious Perdomo booth the last day of IPCPR and we learned that everything old is new again. By that I mean, Perdomo is bringing back all of their pre-2007 brands, though some of them may have some packaging updates. That means the reintroduction of a lot of cigars which should please Perdomo fans that have been missing the retired brands. Here are a few of the highlights:
They’ve brought back all the old sizes of the Edicion de Silvio, and in a variety box sizes ranging from 50-count to 5-count samplers. To make them more enticing, they’ve dropped the price on the lines by 40%.
They’ve introduced an Estate Selection Vintage Executive Collection, which includes Connecticut, Maduro and Sun Grown wrappers all in a single box.
A new “bookcase style” six-pack sampler of the Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged has been added to the portfolio this year.
There’s a new Connecticut line extension for the 20th Anniversary. Unlike the other lines, it is not box-pressed.
The La Tradicion Series is back; Sun Grown, Maduro, Cameroon and Connecticut Golf, all the familiar lines in 9 sizes.
Perdomo Squared is also back, both the Cameroon and the triple-fermented Maduro.
