This thank you is way overdue. Many of you know our good friend Barry from acigarsmoker.com raised $500 for the 3rd Annual Smoke a JJ for JJ Day. Barry’s generosity inspired others like @CigarsThomas and the folks at Toasted Foot to donate an additional $250 each for The American SIDS Institute in JJ’s name bringing the donation to $1,000.
I knew Barry was planning on giving me the checks at IPCPR and during the 2010 Twitter Brother of The Leaf Cocktail Hour at IPCPR in New Orleans, Barry did just that…and more. There was more than just the $1,000 I had thought. Along with the $500 check from Barry, $250 check from @CigarsThomas and the $250 check from Toasted Foot there were two additional checks. One from Michael Herklots for $250 and the other from My Father Cigars for $500. All these generous contributions totaled $1,750 for The American SIDS Institute.
I truly do not have the words to express the abundance of emotion, gratitude and love that I feel. My Little Robusto is gone but thanks to Barry, @CigarsThomas, Toasted Foot, Michael Herklots, My Father Cigars and all of you who smoked a JJ for JJ Day, he truly isn’t forgotten. On behalf of myself, my wife Michelle and JJ’s precious little sister Gracie, thank you! Thank you for your generous donations, endless support, warming kindness, needed prayers and for keeping JJ’s spirit alive.
