Maybe not “new” news for some of you but thought I’d share some higher rez photos than the photos I shared on Twitter as well as some stuff I learned about them.
The much talked about Mi Barrio from Don Pepin Garcia. The Mi Barrio line, is a Limited Edition, to be presented four (4) times a year – 100,000 cigars (not sure if this is per release or for the total production year). The blend of the Mi Barrio will be consistent and not change with each release introducing a new size to the Mi Barrio line. The boxes of the Mi Barrio will have a painting by the Cuban artist, Edin Gutierrez on the lid. The first release has a painting of Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia and his very good friend, Orestes Espinoza, father of Erik Espinoza, of Espinoza y Ortega.

Another Don Pepin cigar created for EO Brands (the guys who do the 601 Series) is the Cubao. I didn’t find out much about the Cubao (too busy talking about the Mi Barrio) but what I do know is that its a full bodied cigar containing 100% Nicaraguan filler and binder, the Cubao will be available in six (6) sizes and are all finished with an Ecuadorian grown Sumatra wrapper. I’m not sure what size I got as a sample but it has a cute little pig tail on the cap.
