IPCPR 2013: Alec Bradley

Like pretty much every year we’ve attended IPCPR, in the past, Alan Rubin of Alec Bradley Cigars was nice enough to give us a few minutes in front of the camera. Alan talks about three of the five lines they planned on releasing at this years trade show (you’ll have to watch the video to see why two are missing).

  1. I gotta say, out of all the interviews you guys did, this one has me the most excited for their future releases. Pete’s spread came in second to me. Although any video with him is usually quite entertaining. And his sticks are widely distributed so for the most part they’re easier to aquire than some other brands.
However I was a bit disappointed with Viaje. It’s bad enough that you can’t even find their shit anywhere (they’re made in the same factory as the Alec Bradley lines) but now they’re releasing a much more exclusive blend that’s housed in what appears to be a giant ceramic oil filter. Think I’ll pass on that Mr. Farkas! I get what Andre is trying to accomplish with his journey by making everything small batch. But I think that concept has run it’s course from novelty, straight on into the realm of frustrating.
