Omar de Frias is one of the nicest guys in the cigar industry, and possibly one of the smartest. Not many in the industry can say they worked for NASA. Or for that matter, have played professional basketball. With such an impressive resume, you might expect the Fratello brand to be just a successful man’s hobby, a check mark on a bucket list. And more importantly to us as consumers, a consistently good brand: The Fratello Bianco was #8 on my list of the Top 10 Cigars of 2015.
But enough history for now, it’s time to focus on what’s new. In this video we talk to Omar de Frias the first day of the trade show about the Bianco IV and the “step brother” Biano Boxer May releases, as well as brand new Fratello Oro which ships in October. The Oro is an interesting sounding collaboration with La Aurora which features a Cameroon binder and Connecticut Shade wrapper. But don’t take my word for it, click play below hear it from the big man himself.
