Just the other day I was checking my email and saw something come through from our good friend Doc over at Stogiefresh. If you haven’t heard, Doc has put together an event that features food, beverages, entertainment, and education on the Central Coast of California.

First Annual Cig Con West September 18th and 19th

Paso Robles, CA – [August 18, 2009] – Cig Con West 2009, the first ever Cigar Conference West, will be a top-flight cigar conference and festival on September 18 – 19, 2009 in the Paso Robles area of the beautiful Central Coast of California. This one-of-a-kind West Coast event to be held on Friday evening with a VIP dinner at the stunning Robert Hall Winery and Saturday all day at the River Oak Pavilion. All who attend will be treated to free cigars and accessories, cigar rolling demonstrations, educational seminars, live entertainment, great food, wonderful local wines and much, much more!
The spirit of Cig Con West 2009 is to give back to the local community. The organizers of Cig Con West have established both live and silent auctions that will benefit three local groups. These organizations are dedicated to improving the quality of life for the youth of the Central Coast. Profits from the live auction during the VIP dinner at Robert Hall Winery on Friday night, September 18th and the silent auction held at the festival on Saturday, September 19th, will go to the Arroyo Grande Rotary Club (Lopez High School Scholarship Fund), the South County Boy’s and Girl’s Club in Oceano (Youth Programs) and to CASA: the Court Appointed Special Advocates group.
Cig Con West will officially kick off Friday evening, September 18, 2009 at 5:30 pm with a multicourse VIP Dinner at Robert Hall Winery. The formal event will feature pre-dinner Robert Hall wines and cigars from our two major cigar sponsors: Camacho and La Aurora. Pre-dinner festivities will also include “Cigartainment” with Joe Sweigart, who will be rolling and handing out commemorative, Cig Con West cigars. Highlighting the evening will be a delectable multicourse gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Jeffrey Scott, after dinner cigars and wines, and a live auction with proceeds to benefit Cig Con charities.
On Saturday, September 19th, the day-long Cigar Conference will be held at River Oaks in Paso Robles and will include a variety of cigar related booths, demonstrations in the art of cigar rolling, cigar and wine-related educational workshops, top-flight entertainment and much more. Cigar enthusiasts who also love premium wines, will be treated to the very best Central Coast wines in a festive atmosphere. Over a dozen local wineries will be pouring tastes of their latest vintages.
