From Stogie Review, you can probably expect to see four lists in the coming days/weeks. 01. Torano Exodus 50 Years Short Churchill (ideally paired with 91% dark chocolate from Costa Rican beans by Theo, a Seattle chocolatier – eat just tiny nibs of it and let them melt away before taking a puff).
02. Esencia 2009 Churchill (ideally paired with an IPA like Mongoose).
03. Padilla 1968 Torpedo (this cigar makes me think “Lemon Crackers” – though I don’t think either flavor is actually present; in any case, it’s fantastic).
04. Cuban Stock Reserve Robusto (a light wrapper, but a rich, smooth flavor).
04. Tatuaje Petite Cazadores.
05. Illusione cg:4
06. Padilla Dominus Torpedo
07. The “SODO” – a version of the dark, pigtail-capped Lanceros El Triunfador made specially for the J&J cigar shop in the Sodo district of Seattle.
08. Tatuaje “Seleccion De Cazador” Lancero.
09. Nosotros (I think the “Opulencia Extremo Corona Larga”, similar in size to the Torano short churchill. I’ve had three of these – one was pure heaven, two were purgatory… as a result I am not sure when to go for the two remaining in my humidor and they sit there suspiciously).
10. Angelenos Lonsdale 2009 (the flavors, although very nice, didn’t register as much as the wonderful post-smoke smell on my hands and face and in my nose that stayed with me that afternoon – usually I want to wash a cigar right off but not that time).
Runners-up:
* Liga Privada T-52 (this was amazing and overpowering, which is either good or bad – as it turns out, I haven’t felt like stepping on this land-mine again, but may in the future).
* Padron 1926 (No. 2) – really good but I fail to enjoy it to a level that justifies its price tag. Still, I would smoke it again and I would like to try their other offerings.
* Partagas Benji Menendez Master Series Majestuoso.
* Cabaiguan Guapo Maduro.
* Cuban Stock EE, a crazy-looking rough dark bronze-brown figurado (“impress your friends!”). The first third is especially tasty.

This is the list for 2010 but some I have had for a bit. My Sanchos have been resting for a couple years and are even better now. This is order of preference for me give or take. Would love to hear what you think.
Sancho Panza Double Maduro (Still my top dog…I have three different sizes and love them all.)
Gran Habano Vintage 2002 (Just came out with a bigger size…just delicious. Best discovery of the year.)
Man O War (I love their entire MOW line…another new discovery for me this year and is now a staple.)
5 Vegas AAA (Probably the stoutest cigar for me this year flavor wise…packs a punch but VERY tasty.)
Man O War Ruination (Yum is all there is to say.)
Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro (A long time favorite.)
Rocky Patel 1992 (A new one for me this year and has become a go to.)
Blue Label Torpedo (From Gran Habano also and another newb that has become a go to.)
Alec Bradley Tempus Quadrum (Very well made and heavy in hand…same with the flavor.)

First off, this is my first full year as an aficionado. I had a great time with the other BOTLs and have been told it was a fantastic year to smoke cigars. I agree.
1 – padilla 1932. For some reason this cigar clicked. I got a box in miami and it didn’t last long.
2 – avo heritage. Great, complex, priced reasonably. Just excellent
3 – Liga Privada T52. What can I say, balanced a flavorful.
4 – CAO La travatia maduro. I first smoked the natural outside the Palomar hotel in LA and thought, “Wow, this would be the bomb with a maduro wrapper”. It was
5 – La Flor D. box press exclusive for nat sherman. Great Stick
6 – Illusion 888 the slam. I saw the review. Bought a five pack. Smoked. Enjoyed. and thought they were great.
7 – Illusione epernay le martin. I dont normally like illusione but the box presses both wowed me.
8 – My Father LE 10. I really liked this stick. The great construction and entertaining flavors made this a winner.
9 – Tempus Magistri Maduro. I love the tempus and even more so in the maduro.
10 – RP decade edicion limitada torpedo, I normally don’t care for RP but these were great
High marks as well – Cabiguan churchills, r and j short chruchills, ashton vsg, la aurora tubos maduro, monte platinums
Not so hot – Davidoff puro de oro, anejo by fuente (needed age) , LFD salamone maduro,
My favorites that i smoked in 2010, no order.
