For your weekend viewing pleasure, I bring you a review of the new Hoyo by Hoyo de Monterrey. General Cigar wants to be clear here, this is not your father’s Hoyo de Monterrey. The cigar has a bold new look that follows the example of last year’s Hoyo de Monterrey Edición de Cumpleaños 150. And to emphasize that this is a new direction for the brand, you won’t find a mention of it on hoyodemonterreycigar.com. It has its own website, hoyocigars.com, which emphasizes the craft and passion of cigar making in a very modern, attractive way.
While I can appreciate the effort to rejuvenate the brand, what we really want to know is how it smokes. The blend of well-aged tobaccos seems promising, and the new proprietary Esteli Habano Shade wrapper leaf is intriguing. It’s time to light one up and find out. If you don’t have one, don’t worry, click the play button and I’ll smoke one for you.

Nice review. Never had a Hoyo before. I may avoid this one ?
Large bands suck.
Thanks so much for your time!

Thanks for another review Brian. Good price but not really my kind of smoke.
