  1. Jesse– I got a cigar tower 2000 and the large cigar oasis unit, I think its the Oasis II, for about $650.00 to $700.00 at tampahumidor.com. The gentleman that owns the store is a very nice guy and they have excellent customer service. You should check them out. Very good episode guys. And I enjoyed my first Pepin blue label during the show. very good smoke. Until next time “Long Ashes”. Brian I was just wondering if you got to see Crazy Horse in south dakota?

  2. Great audio. I enjoyed the guest appearance. Wow, 3 500 count humidors, yowza, the problems heh.

As far as the one question on Maduro’s being harsh and peppery, along with the 5 Vegas Series A and Ashton Maduro, I’d recommend for smooth Maduro’s that won’t have that pepper bite, two other cigars. The Quintero Maduro is an excellent smoke although I’ve not been real successful at finding it for sale in my quick check. Might be going the way of the buffalo. Unfortunate, it’s a fantastic smooth tasty Maduro. The other cigar would be the AVO Maduro. Smooth and mild.

I’d also maybe toss out that when smoking a Maduro, he might try pairing it with coffee, iced or hot, and this may temper some of the harshness he’s experiencing. I’d recommend the La Gloria Cubana Series R Maduro but it may have too much kick for his palate.

    Anyway, great video.

    Dave

  3. Great episode guys, with a steller cast. Brian fit’s right in, and Jesse was a great guest.

One thing that struck me as strange was the tar droplet issue. I’ve never had that problem, maybe I’m lucky. I store my smokes at 65RH, so maybe higher
humidity levels can add to the tar effect (?).

  4. To add to dave’s reply I would like to add the Excalibur 1066 Dark Knight II as being smooth and full of flavor.
I also don’t draaw poke most of the time. I carefully pinch or bite the end a little. It seems to open up most torpedos.
