On the second day of the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show in Orlando, Brian and I headed over to the Espinosa Cigars booth talk to Erik Espinosa. Erik was busy with a customer, so we talked with one of the reps in the booth. During our short conversation, a lot of the confusion I had about Espinosa Cigars was cleared up.

When it was time to sit down with Erik, the remainder of the story was cleared up. If you were like me and weren’t sure how the 601 and Murcielago lines fit into Erik’s new venture, the short answer is that he purchased the lines back from Rocky Patel and started his own factory (La Zona) with his son.
